Hello everybody! It's graduation day! 4 wonderful years of our lives have come to a close. I am sure the 4 years spent in Zhonghua has been memorable and has left an impact on everyone in one way or another.

And yes I agree time flies too fast! It seems like only yestderday that I first joined Zhonghua in Secondary 1, did stupid things in Secondary 2, got a shock of my life when I was posted to a class with only 6 boys in Secondary 3, and prepared for my last year in the beginning of Secondary 4. However, let us not forget the good times we had be it with our lower or upper seconday classmates/schoolmates/cca-mates/random friends. As I said in my speech, friends come and go but the memories last forever!

Now we're moving on to a new chapter of our lives as we move our own seperate ways - to JC, Poly or any other place that we wish to go to to pursue our interests. It is sad, to leave friends whom you have been together with, thick and thin, for the past 2 and 4 years. However, let's not let this physical seperation seperate our friendships! So remember to keep in touch! Perhaps one day, after everything is over and we can take a breather and a step back, we can relook, once again, at this unique and memorable part of our lives we spent in Zhonghua together with our old classmates.

Also, I should say that it has been an honour to be your class chairman. Although sometimes you all dont cooperate (glares!!!) but its ok because I got Jaslin to help me. Haha ok apart from that, i think being your class monitor has been a very wonderful experience for me since this is the first time i'm being a monitor since...primary 3 haha. Although its time consuming and tedious sometimes when it comes to form collection, making announcements or organising events, i think it was all worth it as we all benefited from it and had a few laughs. So thank you guys for everything! As we have now graduated, I am officially no longer your chairman but I was and am proud to be yours for this year!

And i think we have left a great impression behind in Zhonghua. I'm sure Mr Wong is very proud of us, of how much we have grown, matured and bonded. Did you see his expression? I think it was pride haha. We have made him proud of us ok! And I'm sure we have made ms leow proud too as she has seen us grow this entire year form a not so united class to a bonded class who cheered together during the monitor speech today!

So that's it then. Nothing can stop the inevitable and we all know that as much as we would like to stay together, the day must come where we go our own different ways and pursue our own different dreams. And we have to embrace it when it does. But even as we turn the pages to leave behind our Zhonghua life and on to a new place, the lessons we have learnt which have moulded us into young ladies and gentlemen will remain with us forever, and this, in a way, is a part of Zhonghua which will be with us forever =D

People, as you all should know by now Mr Wong (our MAIN, not co, form teacher) is leaving either this week or next week I'll confirm with Ms Leow

Anyway I understand that some people feel that only a card is in order and nothing else is needed for him for the reason that he has not really done much because "he hasnt done as much for us....","he isnt that good a form teacher", "he only teaches us CE" just to quote some of the reasons.

I understand these feelings and I do, to an extent do agree a bit that he has not left as much as an impression on us as compared to Ms Yam, Ms Lam and Mr Poh, but despite how much u all dont really fancy him and all, end of the day, he is our main form teacher, not a co-form, the main one. As his first form class in zhonghua, i think we should at least give him the basic respect he deserves and that is for being our form teacher. he has already tried his best and done lots of admin stuff for us. Im not asking u all to treat him like u did Ms Lam and Mr Poh, but at least show him the respect he deserves for being our form teacher

Apart from a big card, me and jas think should get him a small present. since so many are reluctant, we will seek donations and will not take from class fund unless a huge majority wants to chip in (eg more than 32 people)

hello guys...yup so we did it. agaisnt all odds and circumstances we did it! we might just one of the most successfull classes for this years Learning Carnival. The successes we have gained throughout the entire learning carnival just goes to show what we can achieve together as a class, instead of remaining divided and having no class spirit.

The catapult - even though we didn't win it, it is a symbol of the determination and teamwork we (in particular justin ian and kahwai) can all possess if we set our targets, aim high and pour our heart and soul into turning a dream into a reality. If you told other classes that we only had 2 days to make a catapult - they would say its impossible. Nothing is impossible. Remember, IMPOSSIBLE = I'M POSSIBLE.

To our successes, we won the cheer com and lit evening as we all know. The cheer com was prepared last minute and in short notice, yet we overcame other classes, and overcame the odds to win this. and i know that for this cheer com, everyone worked together and participated actively. so this shows us that we can do anything as a class - really anything! only if we choose to cooperate and help each other, to contribute our strengths to cover other's weakness. us winning the cheer com shows us what we can acheive on short term notice

what about the lit evening? us winning the lit evening despite all the other classes having really humurous skits shows us what we can do long term - we have been working on the lit evening for ages. and i'm proud to see that all the actors and actresses pulled through and peservered all the way. and thxs for sacrificing the time to come down during ur saturday to rehearse :D

remember what ms leow said on monday? she said she was really disappointed with our class, saying this is the first time she has seen such a disunited class. before that, i would agree with her - however perhaps it was that "speech" of hers which probably motivated us to aim higher and attempt to have class spirit. and we did not let her and mr wong down, because now we have won 2 events, both which required the active cooperation of everyone in the class. and im sure that we have made ms leow proud because we have made such a sudden and amazing bounceback, from being considered a class with "no class spirit", to the class which won the cheer competition (enthusiasm and class unity) and the lit evening skit (teamwork and cooperation). and i'm sure we've made mr wong proud too, of being the form teacher of our class - because this is his first form class in zhss, and his first form class wins all these stuff.

but as i have said previously, winning isnt everything. results and successes are only text on paper. it is the process which arrive to this result, and how much we have changed and grown (or matured). i've seen those which have been considered "outcast" by many people take charge and become someone of respect. and i've seen people who once did not even bother to listen to certain people, listen to the same certain people, and treat them with respect for who they are and for the unique talents they possess, even though they may be worlds apart. for once too, i've seen a group of people who once scorned another for "immature things", but have now laughed along with them and have admired them for the talent to do such previously considered "immature things"

this past 2 days, i think, have really brought us closer together, and allowing us to examine ourselves - the lit evening plus cheer com, and i think the drama appreciation thing. instead of seeing ourselves as "the class with lot of people at extreme ends of personality", we have seen ourselves as "the class with a wide diversity of talents". everyone is good and bad at something - some are good in academic, but weak in drama, while others are extremely gifted in drama but not too good in academics. as a class, we are able to fill up these weaknesses within one another if we work together. to put it simply, the class is like 2 shapes with many grooves and hindges, alone unable to accomplish anything because of its peculiar shape. but when put together, it makes a whole complete circle.

i think now, at this point of time, we can safely say that yes, 4e4 is a united class, 4e4 is a resilient class and 4e4 is a class we ought to be proud of. but inevtiably, this unity will slowly but surely die out. but we must remember what we can acheive together and always be proactive to draw the class together once again. as the o levels draw closer and closer, the workload and stress will increase. there will be less time to spend time with one another, and instead more stress will be upon us. we will end up competing against one another, enemy agaisnt enemy, friend agaisnt friend. however, we must never lose this class spirit we have, because the world is a cruel one alone, and in times when we lowest, it is this class spirit which can drive us on.

so basically, congrats to everyone for making a name of 4e4!

ok the auditions are over...and although i wished we had done better...i think we tried our best

special thanks to the actors and actresses for doing their best in acting and memorising

anyway basically i can say im proud? haha dunno if thats the right word...proud of the class..yeah im proud of the class because you all managed to squeeze a full-fledged 15 min play in the span of 3 days. truth be told on tuesday i already gave up and i told someone (our class) that we should just walkover cos i thought we wouldnt even get a cast by friday...well you all proved me wrong and went ahead not only to get a cast by the next day,...but even managed to get the play up and running. so yes thank you everyone who helped out in one way or another..whether its a big thing from writing the script, to a simple thing like helping make fake money. every little bit helps.

what makes this lit evening exceptionally special for us is because i saw people from completely different cliques work together, cooperate, and accept each other for who they are..i know the class...we have a WIDE range of talents...we have super "left brain" people...we also have super damn good actors and drama people (aka right brain)....we all have our own talents...and today instead of the usual "i shall hang out with the people like me" attitude and the "wah that other group sibei irritating" attitude, i saw people who were completely different coming together to make this play a success. i dunno...but perhaps maybe...today some enemies became friends...or even if a friendship wasnt made...more importantly i hope that the border and misunderstandings were gone. today...for the first time in a very long time...we all accomplished something as a whole 4e4...with everyone from all sorts of personalities and talents contributing in one way or another. so for that...thank you and i'm confident we all can continue to keep up this 4e4 spirit. it doesnt matter whether we get through or not..because personally i think its more important we build up this class spirit in our final year, instead of winning but with so much internal conflict within us. so i think we have already won because we have built some class spirit.

this is our final year. after this, some of you may never see from and hear from each other ever again. you might not hear from me again, i might not hear from you again. so as this last year slowly approaches the end, we must treasure every minute of time we have together. work together to have some happy memories. because after this year...its the end. we'll all move on with our lives, and we may not have time to catch up with one another. and as time passes, the links will be weaker and weaker. so we must spend the rest of our time happily and together as a class so that we will have some memorable events for us to remember. and in future in the darkest hours, you can recall these happy memories and maybe it will soothe you down and keep you going.

so yeah...thats about it...

ok guys. tommorow is the day (i'll use the word 'big day' only if we make it fo finals)....actually i didnt beleive we would make it....but after seeing how much we've progressed we might stand a good chance. whether we make it through or not, it doesnt really matter because at least now we know that the class is able to cooperate and work together despite having many differences. and realising that together as a class is more important than winning this thing...but of course winning this thing will reinforce this bond.

so on to important things...tonight...

read ur script. memorise, highlight etc. AND PRINT! i know you all have lit test. me too....fy too...everyone has it. and we're still memorising our lines. so play your part and dun screw up all the effort everyone has put in.

secondly, BRING YOUR CHARACTERS CLOTHES. if you're acting as the landlady, wear smething more conservative. if your acting as a hobo hippie...wear something hobbo hippe. basically wear something which shows the personality of your character. i leave it to your own discretion on what you deem appropriate. but NO SCHOOL UNIFORM!

thirdly, timing has yet to be confirmed...i'll get back to you about that one. i'll announce tmr but i can predict it will be 5+

fourthly, all of you involved....after lit test take a quick lunch and come for rehearsal. remember we have no rehearsal yet and we cannot afford to enter blindly. this is our one and only rehearsal. so tmr cooperate. if you have cca, excuse yourselves...saying you need to take part in annual literary evening. if you really cannot make it (which i hope not)....tell your understudy TONIGHT! CALL HIM/HER NOW and inform him/her to get a script and bring clothes. and consider yourself out of the cast INCLUDING the final's cast (assuming we make it)

fifthly....props people. bring whatever you deem neccesary. read the script and whatever you think will be appropriate...bring it. and we need your help for chairs and tables

woah woah class blog is active :D

anyway yup the CNY decorations is..............................OVER MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHA....and you know what? on the day the decorations end, i found the CNY decoration criteria and rules and regulations paper! haha yeah about 5 mins after the judges finsihed inspecting our room, i went to clear my file and i found the paper whcih i thought i had lost WOOPS haha yeah. anyway card making info is on the noticeboard check it out!

ok so anyway yeah its over now. whether we win or not aint important. more importantly, its the class spirit and teamwork we showed. Some of you may not agree with me, but to my suprise people whom i thought would never help in fact volunteered to help! so that shows that in these situations, it brings out the best in people! so winning this friday isnt the main thing - the fact that we have all worked together to bring this together, and that certain individuals managed to shine - thats something winning can never bring! winning is just an honour (like additional clothes - imagery of clothing haha), the prize is just a token - the teamwork and effort is the appreciation! and thats what makes a token of appreciation! a token without appreciation = nothing...its like f(x) = i dunno what hahahahah

so yeah anyway we should all thank these people for helping out :

cass : helped with streamers and cutting and colouring some of the 37 pigs

zhuoen : getting the calligraphy!

kahwai : helping to make the streamers!

cinny: sourcing out the intenet pic of 3 little pigs and printing!

min ling: for volunteering to draw even though in the end we didnt use it =X but thxs anyway!

sherilyn: for drawing the pigs and the wolves. they were really excellent! although in the end we didnt use them, thxs for at least trying your best to help out!

felicia : painting the tree at the back and helping out here and there!

youwen: for helping to make our prototype pig although in the end it didnt work out =P

wanchun: for helping to cut the pigs!

fangying: for cutting and colouring the MOST PIGS! and she volunteered so must thank her for this!

jaslin : for helping out in lots and lots of things! sorry i cant remember but i know u helped a lot =D

val : for making the prototype pig which didnt work sadly =P but thxs for the effort!

sherry : for cutting and colouring the pigs too!

and everyone who helped out one way or another

and we must SPECIALLY thank these individuals who invested much time and effort

amanda: for making the backboard, cutting colouring the pigs and helping in the other 2 boards. helped out in lots of others things which i forgot! thxs for pushing me and the rest to get things done.

ian: for staying back till very late ever so often to help out in lots of things! oh yeah he made the wooden house and roof!

justin: stayed back for many times to do lots of repair work! and yeah he made the wooden roof too!

xinyi : she deserves 5 star general rank! haha ok no kiddin but she was involved since day 1 (last monday!) which was purchasing the items all the way to the last day which was today making all the pigs and all the other stuff! she painted the bricks, made your straw house and roof, made the front boards and lot of other stuff until i lost track. and she voluntarily came back on a saturday to decorate the class! without her we would not have even started. thank her!!

mingying: stayed back on saturday till 5 plus too! and she painted the bricks, stuck them on the wall. yeah and she helped with cutting lots of streamers and staplering them! oh yeah and the wooden house too!

jeryl : yep she donated one whole bunch of fishies which were great! added lots of er...ambience? haha...she also volunteered to stay back on saturday with xy and the rest to decorate the classroom! they all stayed from 10 plus to 5! so thank her!!

li teng : yeah she volunteered to stay back on saturday too to help out in every way she could!

sophia : she deserves to get the 5 star general rank also haha. like xy and the rest, she stayed back on saturday PLUS practically every other day even cca days. and also like xy, she was involved since day 1 of buying stuff (thxs for ur helpful popular card) till the last day whcih was today. she and xy planned the board and she was the one who came up with the 3 little pigs theme! so yeah without her, we wouldnt have this core decoration which is the 3 little pigs! did the bricks, the wooden house and the straw house (the straw roof!) helped in nearly, if not every aspect of the class decoration. thank her!!

so yeah thats about it. as you can see, nearly everyone, even those of different cliques, came together to help out and thats what the whole thing is about! if i left out anyone, sorry ok cos i cant keep track of what each and everyone did unless u really did something significant till i can remember it. so yeah thxs to everyone who helped out on way or another, those who cut paste provide decorations paint stick etc. and those who contributed the most.

so yeah ok thats done gd luk for all your tests! and remember to give mr heng you PE report!

PLEASE PLEASE bring you CNY decos! Remember last year??? the hanging hongbao banners, the lanterns, the stuff which u put round the clock, the basket of fake oranges! remember the class spirit we had last year? during the camp and after it and up to the CNY? so please cooperate and bring your decos! if we cooperate and try our best, we can win!

class decos have to be up by this friday sad to say and only a small handful are actually doing something. so please contribute whatever u can!

alright the blog is finally up and running again. due to someone who deleted the previous blog, we had to make a new one. Actually I wasn't intending to bother making a new one since no one really went to the previous one, but since jaslin suggested we should, I did. So yeah here it is hopefully PEOPLE PLEASE do update it because i can't be the only one who updates it. Tag, post picures or random posts (but no flaming).

Ok so some issues to settle first.

Class Shirt
We need to get a design for a shirt soon since other classes have started already. We'll vote between shirt or jersey first. Both has its good and bad points la huh shirt more deisigning but looks nicer and if its good, it will make people go WOW. Jersey no designing and you can run in it but its plain. I think both are equally comfortable. I have my preferance but I remain neutral in this post. So ok, please start drawing your designs and pass a soft and hard copy to me or jaslin ASAP so that the class can vote. Obviously a majority wins BUT to prevent any squabbles such as people refusing to buy it, we will consider the vote null if its won by a very small amount (eg vote for design 1 won by 1 or 2 votes). In this case, we can either design again to meet everyone, or we mix the designs together. So yah, please give me or jaslin your ideas asap.

Class Decorations
From what i've heard and asked and have been partially confirmed, each class is entitled to $100 dollars to decorate our classroom. This being our last year, we should decorate our classroom. Maybe the sun is too bright? then we can maybe put a curtain or blinds or something to block out the light. Or you can put some comfy chairs or something I dunno. Please give us your thoughts and suggestions! If we can, we can buy them after flag day. If not, we shall see. But don't suggest stuff which would blow the $100 limit or be prepared to donate to the class fund.

General
I don't know who deleted the blog, but if its someone from this class, please DONT DO IT AGAIN. Its not very nice - I spent an hour making the skin and editing it and i could have easily spent it for studying for amath or chem or bio test. Besides, if you're not happy with the class or with someone, don't need to show your dissatisfaction by destroying the blog. It serves as a portal of communication. Also, don't flame anyone in the posts or it will be deleted. Also, don't flame anyone in the tagboard or you'll get yourself banned. Unless your spamming a few tags only (like ian does all the time), don't spam the tagboard or you'll get yourself banned.
